| Roxie Hart has dreamed of making it big under the bright lights of Chicago. When Freddie promises to make her a star, she risks everything for her big chance. However, Freddie confesses that he has no more big time connections than she does, and Roxie loses her head, shooting him in a passionate fit. After she is arrested for murder, Roxie discovers that Chicago loves the notorious and hopes the fame might find her at last.
